MILITARY GUARDING ~' TITAGHUR. HINDUS INFURIATED. Received January 7, 8.45 a.m. CALCUTTA, January 6. The Earl of Minto, Viceroy of India, is communicating; with Lord Mnrley, Secretary of State, with regard to the position of Mohammedans under the Government's scheme for placing the Legislative Councils on an electoral basis. The military still guard Titaghur, because the Hindus are infuriated at the Mohammedans further desecrating the mosques by placing a dead pig inside.
