LONGBUSH NOTES.

Longbush is looking its beat at the present time. Those with crops out, especially grass seed, would like to see the weather a little more settled. ~ Longbush is advancing. I understand the canvassers have secured the necessary guarantee for the erection of a telephone office, and it is expected that by next spring there will be a co operative cheese factory running. I believe that already the necessary cows have been promised. The Gladstone Sports Club meeting is expected to ba a greater success than usual. A very strong working committee have the arrangements in hand, and they are making great improvements to the grounds, especially the running track. They have engaged the Masterton South Brass Band to play selections during the The road between Gladstone and Maryborough is now in splendid order, and a good deal of traffic now passes over the road.
