FOOD SUPPLIES CUT OFF,
SERIOUS STATE OF AFFAIRS

Sixty-two additional police, include ing twelve mounted men, started for the Barrier last night. Business at Broken Hill is paralysed. The trouble is also having a seriou3 effect on the trade of Port Pirie. The Proprietary railway line was cut yesterday to prevent a provision train reaching the mine. Eleven ofrcials were injured in Monday' 3 affray. The only serious case is that of Mr Worsley, Chief Surveyor. He is still unconscious. The Miners' Association has notified its willingness to provide a delegate to confer with a representative of the mine-owners and the President of the Arbitration Court, with a view to a settlement. REINFORCEMENTS OF POLICE. Received January 6, 9.25 p.m. SYDNEY, January 6. ' All the three lines to the Proprietory Mine have been damaged.
Another force of 110 police was despatched to-night to Broken Hill.
