METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports as follows:—The rainfall on the Upper Plain for the 24 hours up* till 9 a.m. on Monday was 2 points, and up till 9 a.m. ou Tuesday 2 points. Mr H. G. Groves (Bush Grove) reports as follows:—The rainfall for the month of December was 3.94 inches. The maximum fall was 1.39 inches on the 23rd. Rain fell on 15 day.s. The maximum temperature, was 86 on the sth, and the minimum temperature 40 on the 31st. The rainfall for December, 1907, was 58 points. The total rainfall for 1908 was 38.92 inches—ls inches less than in 1907. The maximum temperature for 1908 was 92 on January 12th, and the minimum temperature was 20 on July 3rd. Mr S. Mawley, Ditton, reports as follows:—The rainfall for December, 1908, was 3.71 inches. The maximum fall in 24 hours was 1.31 in on the 23rd. The average for 28 years is 2.45 in. The rainfall for the year 1908 amounts to 41.07 in, the average being 50.76 in. The driest month was February (17 points), and the wettest month was March (9.73 in). The heaviest rainfall in 24 hours was 2.49 inches on July 6th.
