An important question will ha brought up at the conference of the New Zealand Methodist Church to he held in Wellington in February next. It is whether the attachment of the New Zealand church to the general conference of Australasia shall continue? The New Zealand conference meets annually, but it has no legislative power, this being confined to the Australasian conference, meeting once every three years. It has been held that the time has now arrived when the- New Zealand church shall stand alone, and it is, therefore, proposed to consider the question at the coming.coni'erencc.
