A TOWN THREATENED BYFIRE. Received January 4, 11.55 p.m. SYDNEY, January 4. Hot weather still prevails in the country. A great fire threatened to destroy the town of Nowra. The townspeople turned out. and succeeded in saving the town, but the country round about was devastated.
