THE JURY SYSTEM.

During th 2 sittings of the Metropolitan Quarter Sessions, at Syjney, Judge Docker made several comments on veriicts. But His Honor's indignation reached its culminating point when he had finished al ; the jury cases. In discharging the jury from further attendance, and formally thanking them, the Judge said he could not compliment them on some of the verdicts' they had returned. There was one verdict which must have been perfectly shocking to those who heard the evidence. The responsibility, however, rested with the jury.
