"WALLABIES" DEFEATED

LONDON, December 28
Cardiff defeated the Australian amateur football team (the "Wallabies") by a goal, a penalty goal, and four tries to a goal and a try. Received December 29, 9.45 p.m. LONDON, December 29. In the first half Cardiff scored a penalty goal and two tries. Hickey, for the "Wallabies," scored a try, which was net conver ed. Early in the second half Surge was ordered off the field for kicking an opponent. Moran secured a try for the visitors, which Carmichael converted. Cardiff added a dropped goal and three tries, one of which was converted.
The Australian amateur team have now won 22 of the 27 matches played and the following table gives their record: — Against Devon —Won by 24 to 3. Against Gloucester—Won by 16 to 0.
