STEEL RAILS.
IS THE PRICE FIXED BY A COMBINE? Received Dec-ember 23, 8.10 a.m. WASHINGTON, December 22. Mr Andrew Carnegie, testifying at Washington in favour of the abolition of the duties on steeJ, was asked if a combination, including Britain, Germany, and the United States, fixed from London the price of steel rails. He replied:—"l am not in it, but I think it, highly probable."
