MASTERTON v. CARTERTON
The match between the Masterton and Carterton Seniors was concluded j on'the Park Oval on Saturday last, and resulted in a win for the local team by 53 runs. Mastcrton's second innings produced 193 runs. Esson played a brilliant innings for 62. He made some very nice drives. Redmond (37) and Logan (24) also played reaily good innings. Carterton required 227 to win, but were only able to make 173. Smart played a fine innings for 90. He gave a couple of chances. Beechey (18 not out) and Tunnicliffe (10) were the only other double figure scorers. Redmond (7 for 43) bowled well for Masterton. The following were the scores: —■ MASTERTON. Second Innings.
