MASTERTON CHORAL SOCIETY.

The Masterton Choral Sodtfty will produce Handel's famous ora-' toria "The Messiah," on Monday next, September 21st, in a complete form. The chorus has been rehearsing the work for the past three months, and an efficient rendering is anticipated. The choruses will be well supported by orchestra, piano and organ, and the choral numbers include "And the glory of the Lord," "0 thou that tel'est' good tidings to Zion," "For unto us a child is born," "Glory to God in the highest," "Behold the lamb of God," "Surely he hath borne our griefs," ' Lift up your heads," "He trusted in God," "All we like sheep," "Hallelujah." Mrs F. P. Wilson (soprano) will sing "Rejoice, greatly thou daughter of Zion," "Come unto Me, all ye that labour," "How beautiful are the feet," "I know that my Redeemer liveth," "There were shepherds abiding in the fields." Mr James Searle (tenor) will sing "Comfort ye," and "Every valley," "Thou shalt break them," "Behold and see," "But thou did'st not leave his soul in hell." Miss F. Elkins will sing "0, thou that tellest good tidings to Ziorj," "liehold a virgin," "He was despised." Mr W. A. Robins will take the bass solos. Heats may be booked at Messrs lima and Goddard.
