MASTERTON ODDFELLOWS' LODGE.
QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly summoned meeting of the Masterton Oddfellows" Lodge was held last evening, Bro. J. P. Lyall, N.G., in the chair. A motion was passed expressing regret at the resignation of Bro. J. Kershaw, corresponding secretary for the Wellington District. Bro, J. R. Campbell gave a full and interesting report of the conference between the delegates of the various Friendly Societies and the Wellington Medical Association, held in Wellington recently, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The C.S. reported that the next District Meeting will be heldXin Masterton in February next. The officers of the Lodge, and Bros. J. Dixon, R. Krahagen, J. R. Campbell, D. Walsh, J. Boxhall, J. P. Lyall, and E. McCord, with powerto add, were appointed a committee itf make all necessary arrangements in connection with the District Meeting. The election oJJJofficers 0 f the Lodge for the ensuing term resulted as follows:—Bro. W. ■S. Lett, N.G.; Bro. J. Russell, V.G.; Bro. A. E. Wilton, E.S.; Bro. W. H. Percy, G.; |Bro. W. Poad, W.; Bros. J. Boxhall and P. Smith, Auditors. Bros. Jesse Apperley and Walter S. Lett were accorded a hearty vote of thanks for their handeome donations of merit boards.
During the evening Bro. Jno. Boxhall was presented with a handsome gold medal for introducing most members into the Lodge during the past twelve months. The medal was the gift of Bro. P. Smith. It was decided to instal the various officers on January 11th, 1909> The receipts for trie evening amounted to £47 9s (id.
