MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING A meeting of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held on Saturday afternoon. Present —Messrs D. McGregor, junr., (in the chair), W. Perry, H. Morrison, D. Case!berg, 0. C. Cooper, W. Cooper, J. D. Cruickshar.k, R. J. Dagg, Q. Donald, E. Harper, T. P. Lett, H. A. Matthews, J. C. McKillop, J. Morris, A. J. Percy, J. E. Perry, J. Perry, Bland Rayner, G. Shaw, R. Smith, G. C. SummerelJ, C. F. Vallance, W. D. Watson, W. J. Welch. Messrs J. B. Moodie, W. E. Bid will, A. Donald, a. J. Pilmer, and J. Strang were granted leave of absence. It was decided to hold a meeting of the Genera! Committee in future at 1.30 p.m. instead of 2 o'clock, in order to allow the South Wairarapa members an opportunity to leave by the 3.30 train.

The Finance Committee reported: —Debit balance last, meeting, £5,050 9s 4d; expenditure, £169 9s sd; receipts, £55 17s 7d; dr balance at date, £5,164 Is 2d. The Committee recommended that the same class of tickets for members as at last Show be issued for the coming Show, and that the -Manawatu Association's style of ladies ' ticlcJt be adopted. Messrs T. J. Porter, E. Yates, and J. Dixon tendered their resignations, which were accepted. The report of the sub-committee as to the appointment of judges was received and adopted. . Messrs Cruickshank and Bidwill reported having made a very successful canvass of the South Wairarapa. They were accorded a hearty vote of thanks.

A very hearty vote of thanks was also accorded to Mr Bidwill for the donation of a twenty guinea challenge cup for competition in the horse classes at the Show.

A recommendation by the Ground Committee was adopted that the grounds be put into order for the Show earlier than usual next year.
