A servant at the Central Hotel was awakened in the early morning by a gurgling sound. Looking across at the bed a waitress, Hannah Kelly was occupying, she saw a man bending over the girl Kelly, using a knife. The man then rushed to a window and escaped. The waitress was found to be dead, her throat being cut from ear to ear. A man has been arrested on suspicion. Details are meagre.
