Sickness causes a loss of both time and money. You lose time and have expense of medical attendance, entailing a double loss. This can be avoided by using a icliable remedy at the first stage of the sickness. The purchase of a bottle of Chamberlain's Colic, "Cholera and Diarrhoeallemedy often proves a profitable investment, for, by its use at the first appearance, any unusual looseness of the bowels, a severe attack of diarrhoea or dysentery maybe averted that might otherwise compel a week's cessation from labour. Every household should have a bottle at hand. It never fails, and is pleasant to take. Get it to-day. It may save a life. For sale by all chemists and storekeepers. THE GREAT PIG FOOD. The Mayor stated that Cr Ewington's course was to give a notice of motiun to alter the regulations, as to make any change in the direction desired by Cr Ewington wouid necessitate altering the regulations. The small question, for instanca, of erecting a street lamp opposite the new Technical School occasioned quite a protracted debate last evening, the Gas Committee reporting against the Council erecting a lamp at its own expense. The Mayor and Cr Yarr thought that the judgment o£ the Committee was at fault, and referred to the fact that the school was a public and a very useful institution. Cr Prentice, in the course of the debate, said that the Borough street lighting was already £3OO a year on the excessive side. Cr Yarr eventually moved that the lamp be erected by the Council, the Mayor seconding the motion.
