THE NEW MINISTRY.
PETITION FOR MR HOGG'S INCLUSION.,
Last evening a meeting of Mr A. W. Hogg's Committee was held after the social in the Drill Hall, at which Mr Hogg was approached and asked to give his consnet to the circulation of a petition to the Premier asking that Mr Hogg be given a portfolio in the new Ministry, preferably that for the Lands Department. Messrs W L. Falconer, E. G. Williams, J. Creelman and E. Arnold, J.P. (of Wellington) were among the speakers.
Mr Hogg said he left the matter entirely to his committee, and if they thought him worthy qf such an honour he would not oppose the presentation of such a petition. It was, therefore, decided to circulate at once a petiiion to the effect stated.
