AMERICAN WOMEN. "DAGGERS AND DYNAMITE!" FEMALE SUFFRAGE WANTED. THE ATTITUDE OF THE PRESIDENT-ELECT. Received December 8, 9 a.m. NEW YORK, December 7. The women's suffrage movement is assuming large proportions in the United States. Many of the wealthiest society leaders of New York are -supporting the agitation. Dr Aked asserted at a p* - oSuffiMgiat meeting in New York that if women were denied votes they would reso*t to daggers and dyna-
mite. Bitter opposition against the movement is developing. President Roosevelt declares that, personally, be was lukewarm, believing that the majority of' women are also lukewarm. Mr Taft (President-elect) and Mr Hughes (Governor of New York) are willing to grant the suffrage when women want it.
