TINUI NOTES.

PROGRESS OF SHEARING.

RAIN BADLY NEEDED FOR PASTURES.

(Special Correspondent.)

Shearing is just about completed - ' and farmers are well satisfied with the'weight and quality of the clip... Rain is much needed to freshen up the grass, and if rain does not soon come there will not be a large percentage of fat lambs got away off the grass. The friends of Mr and Mrs J; Johnston will be pleased to hear that their son "Jack" has won a certificate of proficiency, with several marks to spare, at the local school. The certificate carries with it two years free education at a High -> School.

Dr Gunn arrived last Wednesday, and will start practice next week. While driving here the other day, the axle of the gig, containing as occupants Mr and Mrs Ewart, broke. Fortunately no serious consequences resulted.
