A MONUMENT TO REBELS.
UNVEILED AT GRAFFLEMET,
MESSAGE FROM EX-PRESIDENT SIEYN.

A memorial to Commandant Scheepers and his companions who were shot as rebels during the Boer war has been unveiled at Grafflemet. Ex-President Steyn sent a message declaring that if Scheeper had done anything conflicting with the laws he oniy obeyed the instructions of his superiors.
The ex-President added : "I am unaware that anything conflicting with the laws was done.
