The following bands have been •nominated for the North Island Brass Bands' Association contest, to be held at Hastings in February:—A gade: Taranaki Garrison, Newtown Brass, Gisbome City, Waihi • Federal, Nelson Garrison, Wellington Garrison, Mornington Brass, and Wanganui Garrison. B grade: Petone Citizens', Manaia Municipal, Hastings Town, Feilding Brass, Stratford Municipal, Hawera Borough .and Napier City.
