\ (From Our Own Correspondent.) ' ' The annual anniversary services of St. Paul's Church Sunday School were held in the Presbyterian Church on Sunday. Mr McLean, traveller for the "Young's Men's Bible Class Society, occupied the pulpit, and a strong choir of children, assisted by an orchestra, consisting of Miss C. Sayers (violin). Mr Ashcrolt (violo), and Mr C. Mills (flute), rendered appropriate hymns. Mr Clough presided at the organ. A farewell social is to be tendered to Mr H. Sedcole this evening (Tuesday). Mr Sedcole, who is leaving for Auckland, is one ot the oldest and most respected residents of this town. The Borough surfacemen are at present busily engaged mowing the grass and tarring the walks in the town squares. A seat, presented by Mr E. Baucke, has been placed under one of trees. This is the first seat donated for the squares, and it is to be hoped that more of our local townsmen will follow Mr Baucke's ttDte good example.
