TARANAKI PETROLEUM.
REPORT OF DIRECTORS. By Telegraph—Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 27. The directors' report to be presented at the annual meeting of the Taranaki Oil and Freehold Company states that the bore is now down 885 feet, of which 740 feet are through very hard rock or difficult strata. The staff is now reaming the bore out to 14 inches from 449 feet downwards. An encouraging show of oil was met with, and was improving steadily as boring proceeded. The directors see their way to continue work for another year, but hope to get oil before that time expires.
