CARTERTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent)
The death occurred at the South Wairarapa Hospital yesterday morning of Mr W. W. Ellis, who has been a resident of Carterton for the past eight years. The deceased leaves a widow and eleven children to mourn their loss.
Yesterday was one of the hottest days experienced this summer. A very large number of entries have been received for the Wairarapa Horticultural Society's Show, which is to be held in the Victoria Hall, Carterton, to-day. A feature of the evening's proceedings will be the singing by St. Mark's Choir. The choir comprises about thirty voices.
