TARANAKI SHOW.
By Teleerraph—Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH. November 26. The "People's Day" of the Taranaki Argicultural Show to-day was held in magnificent weather. There was a recori attendance. The competitions drew record entries. Mr Hasties (Feilding) won the Hunters' Competition, and shared the honours in the jumping with Bolton's Alpine, and won the Ladies* Hack. The Steeplechase Competition was won by A. Mitchell's Bushy Park. The championship in thoroughbred stallions was won by H. Good's Maniapoto; draught stallion, J. Mitchell's Knight of Waihi; thoroughbred mares, Mrs W. Bayley's Sheila. The Hon. J. Ormond's Lady Glen was champion draught mare. Champion Jersey bull, Shout's Pride of Beacor.sfield, Griffiths' and Cornwall's imported bull.Campanile's Sultan, second, Clarke's Starbright reserve champoin. Watkin's Heather was champion cow. Clarke's Lady Disdain second, Griffiths and CornWall's Magnets Peggy reserve champion. In the Abredeen Angus classes J. J. Campbell took all the awards. In pedigree Shorthorn Hoskin's Carnegie Rose champion cow. In Holstein's Newton King's bull was champion. Aryshires, Hawkins and Olsen's were chief prize-takers. Sheep-—English Leicesters, Hoskin and Corrigan divided the awards; Border Leicesters, Corrigan; Hampshires, Newton King; Shropshires, Corrigan and Campbell. Berkshire pigs—Sellers won all the prizes. Factory butter —Bell Block won Lovell and Christmas' 75 guinea trophy, Warea second. The Society's 25-guinea trophy also fell to Bell Block, with Tarata second. At the Society's annual dinner last night Mr Gilruth was presented with a gold medal and n\ade j[a life memberjof the Society.
