INDEPENDENT LABOUR.
I ■> We are convinced that New Zealand does not want an Independent Labour Party, and that will be no place in the Dominion for such an organisation so long as the Liberals, who include in their ranks the great majority of the workers, keep a sound progressive programme before the country, says the "Lyttelton Times." The Australian experience certainly will not encourage New Zealandera to support the malcontents among the workers. The Liberals in the Australian States made the palpable blunder of ignoring not merely the claims of the city workers, but also the obvious needs of the country. That is why independent Labour succeeded in establishing itself. The Liberals will make no such mistake in New Zealand.
