Lambs—Canterbury, light, s£d; medium, 5 5-16 d; heavy, 4Jd; Southland and North Island, 5Jd. Beef—Prices nominal. Fores, 3£d; hinds, 3§d. River Plate sheep—Heavy, 3£d; light, 3 7-16 d. River Plate beef—Fores, 3£d; hinds, 3sd. Hemp—Market slow and prices unchanged. The rabbit market is stagnant, owing to high prices, which holders are maintaining. Hides—There is an irregular demand, and prices generally are firmer. Queensland heavy ox, 4£d to 5Jd; light ox and cow, 4Jd. The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,185,000 quarters for the Continent 1,645,000, Atlantic shipments 500,000, Pacific 60,000.
