Received Novsml " 23, 9 a.m. J LONDON, November 22. i Many bishops, in addition to the Bishops of Worcester and St. Asaph, have protested to the Dean of Canterbury against Lord Hugh Cecil's and Viscount Halifax's circular, urging, on behall of the English Church Union, incumbents in England and Wales to endeavour to defeat the proposed compromise on the education question. The protest is' made on the ground that the circular was intended to wreck the Primate's negotiations, also that it was an irregularity.
