BRITAIN AND RUSSIA'S DEMANDS. ABOLITION OF THE CONSTITUTION. URGENT REPRESENTATIONS. Received November 23, i 0.45 p.m. LONDON, November 23. The Teheran correspondent of "The Times," states that the Shah's rescript abolishing the Constitution is considered to be an open affront to Britain and Russia, and a barefaced violation of the oath and promises. Both Legations have made urgent representations to the Shah on the subject, and solid pressure is contemplated to convince the Shah of the earnestness of the British and Russian demands. Received November -24, 12.8 a.m. TEHERAN, November 23. The Shah's rescript is addressed to the reactionary priests, and its basis is the abolition of the constitution, on the grounds that their new constitution is against the Islanic laws.
