BISHOP OF WAIAPU.
INTENDS TO RESIGN. By Telegraph—Press Association. NAPIER, November 23. During the proceedings of the Anglican Synod to-day, the Bishop of Waiapu intimated [that it was his intention to forward his resignation to the Primate as soon as the other Bishops returned from England, and he could consult with them. Dr. Williams had previously indicated that he would shortly resign on account of his age, so that a successor could be appointed more physically able to cope with the work of the Diocese.
