LAWN TENNIS.
SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP OF VICTORIA. WON BY WILDING. By Telegraph —Press Association. Received November 24, 12 5 a.m. MELBOURNE, November 23. At the Victorian Championship meeting to-day Wilding won the singles championship of Victoria, beating Alexander 4 —6, 6—o, 6—2, 6—2. The games were a brilliant exposition of tennis, and were a fitting termination to the Tournament. It demonstrated how a physically good player will triumph over his equal as far as actual play is concerned, but inferior bodily. In strength Wlding was a giant and Alexander just an average human being. After the first set the Amercan was never in it. Alexander's head work at times was faulty. Wilding won seven games in succession.
