ESTIMATES FOR 1909

Received November 22, 4 p.m. BERLIN, November 21

Germany's Naval estimates for 1909 are three millions sterling above the current year's estimates (£16,966,186). The sum of £10,988,000 will be devoted to works under non-recurring expenditure, new constructions and armaments. Seven millions will be apportioned to new constructions, whereof £4,250,000 will be met by a loan, and the remainder of ordinary revenue. The estimates provide first appropriations for three Dreadnoughts, one Indomitable, two small cruisers, twelve destroyers and some submarines.
