A LITTLE WEAK.
The "Evening Post" is somewhat remarkable for "the milk and watery' tone in its editorial articles on political questions. In its issue of Saturday last, it asks pathetically, "Who are the men best qualified to root out the weeds in the Liberal garden? Who are the men besc fitted to put the plots in order?" Apparently the "Post" has no fixed idea upon the subject, but there is something amusing in the suggestion that the Liberal garden should be put in order against ths Liberals' will. The owner, or occupier, of a garden plot, usually looks after it in his own way, and trespassers in his garden would bs ejected, prosecuted, and otherwise dealt with hardly. Much more on the lines of common sense, even if the proposal is not practicable in their case, is the plan of the Opposition—viz., to turn the Liberal owner out neck-and-c/op, takß possession themselves, and run things just as they like.
