GERMAN POLITICS.
PROPOSED ADDITIONAL TAXATION. Received November 21, 1.40 a.m. BERLIN, November 20. Frince von Bulow introduced a Bill to raise 25 million pounds by additional taxation. He defended the increase in the navy owing to Germany's rapid economic expansion. He believed that Britain's mistrust and antagonism were not unconquerable. Thpre would he no imminent danger of war if coolness and calmness in the conduct of affairs was displayed at home and abroad. Herr Sydow contended that Germany was well able to bear the proposed increase in the taxes, on beer, spirits and tobacco, winch were all.much jower than similar taxes in Britain.
