BURNED TO DEATH. Received November 19, 9.12 p.m. MELBOURNE, November 19. Robert Abeil and his wife returned to their home at Talbot intoxicated, and during the night the house was burned down. The charred remains of the couple were found among the ruins. VICTORIAN BUDGET. Received November 19, 9.12 p.nl. MELBOURNE, November 19. Sir Thomas Bent delivered his Budget to-day. The revenue for the past year amounted to £8,288,508, and the expenditure to £7,848,357. The estimated revenue for the current year is £8,116,250, and the estimated expenditure £8,115,153. Sir Thomas announced his intention of patting forward a bold Railway and Waterworks policy. Loan Bills would be brought in during the session and early in the year to raiae the necessary loans. The railway revenue amounted to £3,874,000 —an amount only once previously exceeded. The imports for the year increased by nearly £3,000,000.
HIDE MARKET. Received November 19, 9.25 p.m. MELBOURNE, November 19. Hides are brisk. The market for all descriptions is very firm. ADULT SUFFRAGE BILL. Received November 19, 10 a.m. MELBOURNE, November 19. The Adult Suffrage Bill passed the State Legislative Assembly. During the debate a member adversely referred to the effect of the women's vote on the Federal election, when a woman in the gallery rose and called out: "We had to vote for men who would support our Bill." She then quitted the gallery.
