MR MASSEY AND THE SECOND BALLOT.
Mr Massey, Leader of the Opposition, was asked, in the course of an interview at Auckland, how he thought the Second Ballot Act would work now. He replied: "I told some of those who supported the Second Ballot Bill in Parliament that tney would be sorry for doing: so before the elections were over, ai:d I think my Iprediction has been fulfilled. The country is being put to the inconvenience and expense of twentythree of these polls for no good purpose, simply in the interests of party. I think what is happening in this connection is one of the most objectionable things of which we have had experience, and should be resented by all right thinking people."
