FAT LAMBS.
EXPERIMENTS BY THE MANAGER OF THfi NORTH BRITISH AND HAWKE'S BAY PUKETAPU STATION. With a view to ascertaining the truth or otherwise of certain statements made re the profits to be derived from dipping lambs'in Quibell's Non-poisonous Liquid Dip prior to putting them on rape, the following report from Ml M- A. M'Leod, hSgerof the North British .and Hawke's Bay Puketapu Static.* 1 ; will be read with interest by sheep owners generally—i.e. : "To Messrs Dalgety and Co. (Ltd.), Napier, H.tf. Dear Sirs, , \ "Having heard a great deal about , the benefits to be derived by dipping , lambs before putting them on rape, in Quibell's Non-poisonous Dip, 1 re- | solved to prove the assertions n.ade , for myself. "I accordingly selected a flock o± lambs ot uniform quality, and run off one-half the number, which I dipped S in Quibell's Liquid as directed; the S other half I left undipped. At the end of a month' both lots were sent to the freezing works and killed; the undipped lot averaged 311b each, and those dipped, as before stated, 341b "In my opinion the results far more than justify any claims made for the dip in this direction. "(Signed) M. A. M'LEOD." The gain on the dipped as compared with the .undipped thus shows a profit of something like 1500 per cent, on the cost of dipping, including labour, material, etc., a gain, surely, not to be despised in these days of low prices for wool, etc. Dip your lambs in Quibell's Fluid (non-poisonous), and you can count on 1,500 per cent profit on the operation as an abolute certainty. *
