THE KILTIES.
The Scottish Canadian Band, known the world over as "The Kilties," will give their first concert in Masterton on November 26th : This combination of 40 odd men will tour the world. The start was made at Ottawa, where over 5,000 people gave them a hearty send-off. Over 60,000 miles will be travelled before the band sets foot once more on Canadian soil. England, where they were an unprecedented triumph, will again be visited, as will most of the countries of Asia and Europe. Eight years of continuous success has already placed the "Kilties" in the vanguard of progress, and two Royal commands by the King within sixty days of one another was a crowning feature. The brass and reed bandjncludes a vocal choir of twenty "trained voices, the Clan J jhnstone Troupe of national dancers and pipers, and is headed by two giant drum-majors, each over seven feet high—the finest specimens of Scottish manhood in the world.
