SERIOUS RUN ON PEKIN BANKS. FIRM ACTION TO MAINTAIN ORDER. Received November 18, 9 a.m. PEKIN, November 17. There is a serious run on the Pekin banks; otherwise all is quiet. Prince Chun, brother of the late Emperor, who is acting as Regent, is taking firm action to maintain order. He has introduced Palace reforms, abolished the eunuchs and resolved to adopt modern methods of yublic business. Pu Yi's education will be conducted on modern lines.
