TERRIFIC THUNDERSTORM.
A TOWN FLOODED.
SEVERAL PERSONS DROWNED.
Received November 1, 10.30 p.m. CAPETOWN, November 17. A terrific thunderstorm caused the Barkers river to ride with startlin rapidity, flooding Port Elizabet*. The damage done is estimated at quarter of a million.
Several persons were drowned.
