The second officer was in charge of the Falls of Halladale. When the canger of the position was discovered, the cnptain was called, but the vessel was too close in to avert a mishap. The value* of the! cargo is roughly estimated at from thirty to thirtyfive thousand pounds.
Received November 17, 1.20 a.m. MELBOURNE, November 16. The Falls f Hallaiale is regarded as a total wreck, aid the prospect of salvage are poor.
