A MURDEROUS ASSAULT.

Received November 15, 4.25 p.m. SAN FRANCISCO, November 14.

During Ruef '3 trial Francis Heney, District Attorney, who prosecuted Schmitz and others in San Francisco for graft, was murderously assaulted in Court and is believed to be dying. His assailant was a salmon keeper named Morris Haas, who has been arrested.

Haas has declared that he was ruined by Heney; therefore he shot him.
