Received November 12, 7.55 a.m..

BERLIN, November 11

France has accepted the German formula expressing mutual regret that the Casablanca incident involved acts of violence, and providing that whichever country the arbitratois find: responsible shall apologise to the other for the action of its agents.

The formula was signed at Berlin yesterday, and the alarmi/jg aspect of the incident is thus terminated.

PRESS COMMENT,

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN.

Received November 12, 8.25 a.m. LONDON- November 11.

The "Times" says"Germany and France must' feel relisved that the awful possibilities threatened by the Casablanca controversy have been averted. If war had been forced on France it must inevitably have involved other countries, including Britain."
