The third day's racing in connection with the Auckland Racing Club's spring meeting took place today. Results: — Hunters' Steeplechase, 3 milesLaddie, 10.7 (Mr Gorrie), 1; Mozart, 10.9, 2; Bachelor, 12.3, 3. Also started—Warden, Connecticut, Hardy, Irish Jig, Tom Burns. Won by two lengths.
Wynyard Handicap, 7 furlongs Royal Soult, 7.9 (Buchanan). 1; Santa Rosa, 8.0, 2; Muskerry, 8.2, 3. Also started—Tui Cakabau, Advocate, Rimlock and Landlock. Won by half a length. Maiden Hurdles, H milss—Luscombe, 9.10 (Cowan), 1; San Paulo, 9.3, 2; Mark Time, 9.4, 3. Scratched —Paritutu. Won all the way.
Parnell Handicap, 6 furlongs--Royal Soult, 7.10 (Buchanan), 1; Cambrian, 9.5 (Ryan), 2; Haldane, 7.9 (Price), 3. Also started—Foremost, Devenport, Maheno, Talma, Waihuku, Quid wife. Won by a length and a half. Ascot Handicap, 11 mile—Te Aroha, 9.11 (Buchanan), 1; Lochbui, 9.2 (Whitaker), 2; Moral, 9.2, (O'Connel), 3. Also started—Aborigine. Tan San, Douche, Sedition. Won by a length and a half. Juvenile Handicap, 4 furlongsElf, 7.11 (Buchanan), 1; Salute, 9.5, 2; Etna, 7.10, 3. Also started —Hyperion, Royal Scotland, Monsieur Soult, Effulgence, Waiata. Won by two lengths. Gordon Handicap, 5 furlongs—Carmania, 7.4 (McMillan), 1; Hard Rock, 7.0, 2; Rarata, 8.9, 3, Also stcxtcil —Dogger Bank, Lady Frances, Ngapuka, Silent, Leo Grand, Aristos, Tofcika. Won bv a head.
