MUTINY IN A PRISON.
NOTQRIETY-LOVING SUFFRAG-
ETTES
LONDON, November 6. An exciting scene in Holloway Gaol is reported by Mrs Drummond, one of the Suffragette leaders, who was recently sent to prison in default of finding sureties to be of good behaviour, for the part she took in the rushing'of the House of Commons, but who was released by order of the Home Secretary on the ground of illhealth. Mrs Drummond describes the incident as a mutiny. According to her statement, on Saturday last a wardress rebuked Mrs Pankhurst for trying to communicate with Miss Christabel Pankhurst while the Suffragettes were in the exercise yard. This was resented by the other Suffragettes, who raised cheers, and then tried to rush the wardress. Mrs and Miss Pankhurst, who were also sent to gaol as a result of rushing the House of Commons, are now undergoing solitary confinement.
