MASTERTON WOOL AND SKIN SALES.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held monthly sale yesterday, offering SO bales and 60 bags of wool, 3,300 skint, 800 hid« 3, and a quantity of tallow. There was the usual attendance of buyers, and competition was fairly brisk. There were .several lots of the new season's dip offering, which realised up to 4fd per lb. Skin? sold at last sala's level. We quoce: Wool —Medium crossbred wool, 4i\ to 4|d; inferior, 3dto3£d; pieces and locks, 2dto3Aii; crutchintrs, 2d tu 3Jd. Skins— crossbreds, od to s|d; crossbred*, 4d to sd; dead steins, 3d to 4}d; dead hoggets, 3d to 3|d; lamb skins 4d to sd; inferior pelted and short, Id to 2?>d. Tallow—Tins, 18s 6d; casks, 20s; rough fat, 16s. Hides—Ox hides, 4d to 4£d; cow hide:*, 4d to 4gd; cut and slippy hides, 2d to 3|d; stag hides, 2d to 3Jd; bull hides, 2d to 3fd; calf, best, 6d to 7Jd; medium, 5d to 6d; inferior, 2d to, sd. Our next sale will be held on December lGth, at 1 p.m. The Wairarapa Farmers' Cooperative Association, Ltd., and Dalgety and Co., Ltd , report as follows:—We held our montnly sale of wool, skins and hides yesterday, offering a good catalogue of wool in bales and bags, 2,000 sheepskins and 1,050 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of horsehair and rabbit skins. There was the usual attendance of buyers, and prices obtained must be considered good, when taking into consideration the present low state of the market. We quote: —Wool: Fleece 5d to s|d, dead wool 4Jd to 4Jd, crutchings 2£d to 3d. Skins: Crossbred, heavy 4d to 4fd, crossbred, fine 4|d to 5Jd, dead skins 3d to 4£d, hoggets 3d to 3|d, lambs, inferior 3d. Hides: Cow, 3|d to 3£d, cow, slippy 3|d to 3£d, cow, inferior 3&d to 3Jd, cow, dead 3|d, ox 31d to 4d, yearlings 4d, calf 6Jd to 6gd, calf, cut s£d, calf, interior 4£d to 4|d. Horsehair: Is 2d per lb. Rabbitskins: s|d per lb. Our next sale will be held on the 16th December.
