MASTERTON COUNTY ELECTIONS.
CANDIDATES NOMINATED.
The candidates nominated to represent the various ridings for the ensuing term of three years in the Masterton County Council are as follow :
Ali'redton—Mr C. Kebbell, nominated by Messrs F. H. Dunderdale.and A. J. Rutherfurd; Mr A. K. Hansen, nominated by Messrs H. J. Jewitt and R. Thomas; Mr A. Murray, nominated by Messrs H. Higginson and S. W. Green. Wainuioru- Mr H, O. Toogood, nominated by Messrs T. Taylor and W. A. L. Meredith; Mr R.vF. R. Beetham, nominated by Messrs J. C. McKilJop and G. C. Williams. Upper Taueru—Mr J. Miller, nominated by Messrs W. M. Lang and H. Wilton. Rangitumau—Mr J. Colquhoun, nominated by Messrs W. H. Donovan and J. Clarke. Te Whiti—-Mr John Morris, nominated by Messra W. McP. Cole and D. McGregor, jnr. Opaki—Mr W. Harris, nominated by Messrs J. J. Cottle and S. Coiinell; Mr D. W. Foreman, nominated by Messra W. J. Welch and T. Wyeth; Mr W. J. Welch, nominated by Messrs D. W. Foreman and T. Wyeth; Mr W. L. Falconer, nominated by Messrs C. A. Ewington and , C. F. Gawith. 1 As the nominations received for the Wainuioru, Te Whit:, Upper Taueru and Rangitumau ridings are equal to the vacancies to be filled, the candidates nominated for those ridings have been declared elected. As only two candidates are required for the Alfredton and Opaki ridivigs, respectively, and election will be necessary. A poll is to be taken on Wednesday next between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
