METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr H. Mawley, Ditton, reports as follows: —The rainfall for October was 4.64 inches. The maximum fall in 24 hours was .82 inches on the
6th. The average rainfall for the month of October during the past 28 years is 4.29 inches. Mr H. G. Groves, Bush Grove, reports as follows:—The rainfall for the month of October was 3.92 inches. The maximum fall was .73 inches on the 31st. Rain fell on 18 days. The maximum temperature for the month was 77deg. on the 20th, and the minimum was 32deg. on the 27th. The rainfall for October, 1907, was 2.31 inches. BY , TELEGKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, November 3. The following is Captain Edwin's forecast to 3 p.m. to-morrow: — "Moderate to strong southerly winds are probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, and westerly strong to gale elsewhere. Ruin is probable in all parts south of New Plymouth and ? Napier, and a falling barometer in the southern districts."
