CRICKET.
On Wednesday afternoon teams representing the Pahiatua and Mangatainoka Cricket Clubs tried conclusions at Mangatainoka. The weather was that could be desired, but the wicket, although good at the commencement, soon became lumpy, making the bowling demoralisingiy erratic. Pahiatua went in first; but were soon disposed of for the modest number of 27. Mangatainoka replied with 25. The visiting team thus won by two runs. The scores were as follow: - PAHIATUA. Rev.
