In the second heat Baker beat Child, the present eta iipion, on points. The other three competitors had byes. In the semi-final Baker knocked out Phils under a minute. In the final -Douglas, an ex-champion, beat Baker on points after a splendid fight. Baker was down for five seconds in the second round.
