—t OLYMPIC MIDDLEWEIGHT CONTEST. . « JBeceaved October 28, 11.30 p.m. t LONDON, October 28. Baker, the Australian boxer, won liis match in the first heat in the Olympic Middleweight Boxing : championship, knocking out Dees, an ex-champion, in the second round. In the second heat Baker beat Child, the present eta iipion, on points. The other three competitors had byes. In the semi-final Baker knocked out Phils under a minute. In the final -Douglas, an ex-champion, beat Baker on points after a splendid fight. Baker was down for five seconds in the second round.
