LIBEL CASES. HEAVY DAMAGES AWARDED AGAINbT NEWSPAPERS. . Received October 28, 11.35 p.m. LONDON, October 28. The jury of the King's Bench awarded Edward Cork and Co., soapmakers, £23,000 damages against the proprietors of the newspapers "Daily M,ail" and "Evening News," for libels extending over two years in connection with the proposed soap combine. '
